Our trip was absolutely amazing, the whole team made it seamless with amazing guides, food, tours and hotel.
Genuinely, we would not had seen or experienced Italy the same if we hadn't used Nada Italy!!! Please use them, they know exactly where to take you and the BEST spots, local ones too!! We just returned from the Tuscan Villages and Cinque Terre tour and I cannot have imagined a better trip. Everything was planned to perfection by Nada's Italy. The hotels were amazing, the food was outstanding, and the places we visited were like none that I'd ever seen before. Most of all, I can't say enough good things about our tour guide. Matteo treated us not simply as customers but like friends for the entire trip. Highly recommend scheduling a tour with Nada's Italy.
Just returned from the Italian Treasures Tour! What a wonderful time and the weather couldn't have been better! It was a beautiful time of the year in Italy. Venice was so quiet and a great way to start the trip. The tour of Castello del Trebbio was breathtakingly beautiful and the pasta making class was tremendously fun and delicious. Finishing up in Rome with it's rich history was perfect. All the accommodations were centrally located in each city and were absolutely beautiful. Nada's small group tour allowed us to go smaller family run restaurants for lunch and dinner. Enzo, our journey director, was so very accommodating to all of our group, giving us suggestions for where to go and what to do during our free time, if we needed it! Our intimate group of 8 became fast friends on night 1. I can't wait to go back!!
The Mediterranean Bliss tour is absolutely amazing! We also had an extension to Florence. Our journey director Anna was fabulous, she was so knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. The places that we visited included not only the tourist highlights but the intimate family-owned restaurants and winery. Everyone was so friendly to us as Anna was well known throughout our trip. The views were breath taking, boutique hotels in great locations and of course the food!!! We appreciated the personal service provided to a small group. We felt safe at all times and appreciated the recommendations for the time spent on our own. We will definitely book another tour with Nada and recommend our friends and family. Fantastic small group tour from Nada's Italy to Milan-Lake Como-Piedmont-Torino in early October 2025. We were very fortunate to have Alessio Manicone, a knowledgeable, savvy, organized and friendly Journey Director. He was equal parts of history and geography professor and social scientist; he really put things in context for our small group of 6 travelers. Additionally, we had specialized local guides join us in Milan, Lake Como and Torino for added expertise. Each day we had thoughtful itineraries, comfortable minivan transportation, unforgettable experiences, "front of the line" access and truly delicious food and wine. From the Duomo to Lake Como and its surrounding area to St. Moritz and the Bernina Express train to the top of the alps to an organic rice/risotto farm (absolutely fascinating), true winery tour and tasting, a fun cooking class and meal with the great Pia and her team to the beautiful and vibrant squares of Torino, Nada's Italy delivered in every facet of our trip. We don't like tours but this was first rate throughout and we would not only highly recommend but look forward to going on another journey with Nada.
Our recent Mediterranean Bliss tour was absolutely fantastic. Nadas Italy did a wonderful job from the day we booked this tour to the day we left to come home. Daily transfers from our hotels to the various sites were comfortable and pleasant. Our small group of 8 travelers, along with Nadas full-time Journey Director, saw unbelievable sites both in Rome and along the Amalfi coast including, in part, the Roman Forum, Colosseum, Vatican City, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, the towns of Sorrento, Positano, Amalfi & Ravello, the island of Capri and the unforgettable town of Pompeii. This was our third tour with Nada's Italy, and it was amazing! In putting the tours together, they look for hidden treasures, unique experiences, local charm, and wow experiences in the places we go. On this trip, we even stayed in a real castle! What an experience! The tour groups are small, so you can get to know each other and bond which adds to the pleasure of the tour. Our local tour guides were exceptional. They come from the areas they are guiding you through, so the knowledge and stories they share are personal, informative, and interesting. We highly recommend seeing Italy with Nada's Italy!
Just completed Nada's Spain tour. Highly recommend it. The hotels, restuarants, sites and cities included in the tour are great. Our tour guide, Rosa Lara, was very knowledgeable, professional, attentive and fun. She is from southern Spain so she knows the lay of the land very well.
We just got back from the Puglia Paradise tour and really enjoyed it. Our tour director, Dino, was very knowledgeable about the places we visited and made the experience of the tour very enjoyable. Puglia itself is quite interesting...quite different from other places we've visited in Italy. I would say the terrain reminds me of Greece...dry, olive trees, beautiful blue ocean. This is our 3rd experience with Nada's and would highly recommend traveling with their company.
A spectacular Nadas Italy Magic of Spain trip with our in-country Journey Director, Rosa Lara! 11 days, 4 hotels, 7 cities, 2 trains, van shuttles, meals, museums, palaces and cathedrals, all masterfully coordinated. Local guides supported Rosa in the various cities to provide history and insight to the amazing sights. Spanish history and sights are truly fascinating! This was our second tour with Nada (first was Italian Treasures) and once again the team did a fantastic job from the time of initial booking with Sabatino to the end of the trip with Rosa. The small group travel allows tremendous flexibility that cannot be accommodated in large groups and Rosa ensured that every person in our group was accommodated from meal preferences to shopping for gifts and personal items. Highly recommend this Spain trip!
We had a fantastic experience with Nada's Italy planning our incredible vacation to Campania. We traveled with another couple to Capri, Positano and Sorrento without kids. Simona from Nada's curated an organized itinerary that was personalized for our interests. We had several unexpected incidents including 2 flight delays that were able to be adjusted seamlessly for transportation with minimal effort on our end. Nada's is very responsive, attentive to detail and passionate about the best customer service possible. All of our excursions and activities were planned by Nada's and were all top notch! We received VIP service for all transfers and car services around Campania. We did a private boat tour in Capri, a day trip to Ravello with a guide, and a private cooking class at a farm in Sorrento. Ultimately, they will personalize your entire trip. There is no other better way to experience Italy than planning with Nada's!

Our experience with Nada's Italy was one with no glitches and all enjoyment. A lot to say for a 27 day tour of 4 major cities, two locations in the Tuscan countryside, hotels, and numerous tours and guided trips. Accommodation's and locations were the best. Schedules with drivers and guides were always on time and convenient. Special concerns for physical limitations were realized and respected. The overall experience, from first contact to the last moments, was one that will be remembered fondly. This is certainly due to the knowledge and detail Nada's Italy possesses and employs in planning. Early on conversations on what we expected was the key. A comprehensive itinerary always kept you up on what to expect and when. Any level of touring in Italy can be enhanced by working with a group like Nada's Italy. Our next plans to travel there again will begin with a call to Nada's Italy.
I just returned from an incredible trip to Greece. Nada's Italy planned a uniquely designed trip to meet the needs of my family. We explored Athens, Santorini, and Crete. Drivers were polite and professional, tour guides were friendly and knowledgeable, hotels were excellent, and the food was out of this world! My husband is hesitant to travel and Simona's expert travel planning relieved all stress and concerns. Best trip we have ever taken!! My son is already planning a trip back to Italy using Nada's Italy because he was so impressed!

From the moment we met she was warm, friendly, and eager to ensure we had an unforgettable experience. Valerie shared her deep knowledge of France ' its history, culture and hidden gems. Nada and Valerie took care of all the details, allowing us to fully enjoy our trip without any worries. Oct. 2024 My husband and I recently returned from a Blissfully Italian Tour. It was amazing. Nada took care of every detail where we had a perfect balance of group tours with free time. Our well-located hotel accommodations were top notch. All the meals were delicious and represented the local region. The entire Nada team was wonderful interact with. Sabatino and Daria answered all our questions and helped us book our trip and transfers. A special thank you to Matteo our JD. Matteo went above and beyond to make our first trip to Italy unforgettable. He added a couple of extra stops that were not on the official itinerary. One extra stop was the Florence American Cemetery and Memorial containing the graves of 4400 American soldiers killed in Italy during WWII. None of our group knew the memorial existed and we were all moved by the experience. We had a 'Blissful' Italian Tour with a wonderful group of people and highly recommend Nada Italy.
Simona Norman at Nada's Italy helped arrange a private and truly wonderful trip to Rome and the Amalfi Coast for us. It was our third time using Nada's Italy for vacations in Italy and we will absolutely use them again to help arrange travel to Europe in the future!

Once again, a fantastic experience! Our 5th Tour with Nada's ... this time it was the "Unknown Tour". Although we had no idea where we were headed, we put our faith into knowing Nada's would not let us down ... and they delivered once again. Our Tour took us to not only to North Eastern Italy at the top of the Adriatic Sea, but also to Slovenia and Croatia. As always, the accommodations were wonderful, food (along with the wine) was magnicent, daily tours were fun and educational and Enzo, Our Tour Director, was excellent ... extremely Knowledable and a wonderful sense of humor in addition to taking care of any personal need that came along! IF YOU WANT TO SEE THE REAL ITALY, THIS IS THE WAY TO GO!
All of the details, connections, and guides Nada's Italy arranged for us made this trip incredible. We didn't have to worry about the traveling and had more time to explore and sightsee. I would 100% book another trip to Italy or Europe with Nada's. This is a very professional company with excellent customer service. I can't recommend it enough!

Except for Nights 1&10 when we were in Rome, our 11-person group stayed in Positano and made very manageable day trips from there each day. Our boutique hotel rooms offered spectacular views (see photo). Every meal we had was great, and special diet needs were always accommodated. The tour follows the itinerary outlined in Nada's marketing materials, and all activities are led and managed by a 'Journey Director' who is with the group at all times. Our tour was led by Giorgia Pivanti who is fantastic. Her tremendous knowledge and experience, and her boundless enthusiasm, kept us enlightened and fully satisfied every step of the way. This was our second tour with Nada's Italy, and we are already planning #3 now for next year.
NADA's small group tour of the Amalfi Coast is a great way to discover this Italian gem. The hotels were well placed allowing for ease in walking around, breakfast was good and complimentary, staff were welcoming and helpful with suggestions etc.. We had the consistency of the same bus driver throughout our trip, his skill set maneuvering the winding and narrow roads was amazing. The planned sites and activities were great but also allowed for free time to explore and enjoy the surroundings. Our tour director, Georgia Pivanti, was with us throughout our journey. She was very knowledgeable and engaging and most importantly enthusiastic about sharing her experiences and insights. I would recommend NADA to anyone looking for a more interactive and engaging experience.
Just return a week plus on the Amalfi Coast with Nada. The small tour experience with our expert tour director, Georgia, exceeded our expectations. The pace was good, the planned activities informative and fun. Probably activities you could never plan on your own. It was an experience that did not feel 'touristy,' but very unique and special. Learned a lot about the Italian history and culture on the Amalfi Coast. We felt well cared for and well fed! Would travel with Nada again.

Once again perfectly orchestrated and led by our capable, fun and lovely tour director Georgia! We loved her! We saw so many gorgeous sites along the Amalfi coast. It is breathtakingly beautiful. And the history in Paestrum, Pompeii, and even Positano was fascinating and emotional at the same time. So. Much. Food !!! And all so delicious ! The fresh ingredients and simple preparation of meals in southern Italy . Yum. Not to mention sulfite free wine that is delicious as well. We were a group of 11 and all had such a good time that we have all decided to go together next September with Nada's to northern Italy. Can't wait!!

We just returned from the Northern Delights tour and it was fantastic. If I could rate it higher than a five I would. Daniella was great and our fellow travelers made the trip extra special. It was nice having cities at the two ends of the trip with relaxing locations in the middle. Having a small hotel with balconies over Lake Como or staying on a hill overlooking vineyards in Piedmont were special. The food was excellent at all the small restaurants we visited. It was so enjoyable to hear the owner's stories and the passion they have for the food. The activities were all so much fun and well organized As was the whole experience. This was the third Nada's trip for six members of our group and our second. That is such a compliment on how well we all enjoyed these trips.
The third time was still charming. We just returned from our third tour with Nada's -- Lake Como and Piemonte. Once again, Nada's delivered on all counts. From Milan to Lake Como (with a side of Swiss Alps), to the Piemonte region, to Torino -- all so special. Our tour around Lake Como's small towns/villages in our private boat (thank you, Luca!) was wonderful. Daniela, our journey director, was the best -- sharing the little tidbits that make a place stand out and be memorable. Not enough space to talk about the food and wine; top notch. Our drivers (Alberto and Massimo), our "extra" guides (Stefano, Salvatore, etc.) were great additions to our experience. Everyone (and I mean everyone) associated with Nada's is top-notch. If you want to visit Italy and have a unique experience, Nada's is THE best choice.

Sizzling Sicily Tour - The expectations for always having a great experience were again exceeded by Nada's Italy team. Communications throughout the process from the team, and then meeting our tour guide Salvo Martinico, who knows this part of the country, and grew up there. But he also has special knowledge of wine and wine making as that has been his family business. But Salvo is also a "foody" and worked with each meal/restaurant to make sure we had the best wine and experience at each location. Very special. We traveled through the cities of Taormina, Mt. Edna, Palermo (capital of Sicily), Monreale, Arigento, Siracusa, Ragusa, Noto, Modica, and finished back at Catania. That pretty much covered the rectangle crossing of Sicily. Add beautiful weather to this trip, and it will hold memories for a lifetime. Thank-you Nada! The Magic of Spain was truly that experience. Not having expectations of Spain, to be part of the local experience in each of the cities, from Madrid, Toledo, Cordoba, Andalucia, Sevilla, and Ronda with understanding the differences in the cities and their unique history. My husband and I were on the Mediterranean Bliss tour in late June/early July. This was our first trip to Italy and it was fantastic! Every detail was well planned and thoughtful. The hotels were beautiful in all the locations (and oh, those breakfast buffets, especially in Florence). Our city guides were very knowledgeable in every location that we visited and could answer any question, no matter how random, that we asked. Our trip guide, Alessio, was also this knowledgeable, friendly, and made every day fun. The tours, food and hotels were top notch. We also used their custom planning to add an extension to Florence at the end of the tour. The planning was executed well and the tours that we had were just what we wanted. It was nice to have a guide to ourselves to spend as much time as we wished at each place. Our driver in Florence was polite, on time and friendly. The support given by Nada's was excellent as we ran into a delay in our train arrival to Florence. The team went into action and made adjustments so that we still made it to our tour that afternoon. I highly recommend Nada's Italy for those of us who want an exceptional experience!

A small group tour is the only way to travel Italy (or any other country) in my opinion! Nada's does an amazing job of mixing history, culture, great food and wine, cooking classes and unique experiences into a tour. The group size is no larger than 12 people, so the experience is personal. The days are well balanced with plenty to do and see as well as some down time for personal exploration, rest, or shopping built in. We have actually traveled with Nadas 4 times over the past 10 years and we just finished the "Sizzling Sicily" tour. We had a fabulous time. There were only four of us on this trip, so definitely a focused and personal trip with our tour coordinator and driver. We had great tour guides for specific cities and sites who were top-notch. It is so nice to travel without having to plan every detail yourself, or to drive. The hotels we stayed in were all beautiful, the food delicious, and the wine experiences/tastings in gorgeous settings with amazing food pairings. Sicily is a fantastic place to visit. Highly recommend Nada's if you are looking for a great experience in travel!

My wife and I were part of a group of 12 taking Nada's Mediterranean Bliss tour in April of this year. This was our first experience with Nada's and it really was "Bliss". The people at Nada's were wonderful to deal with, especially Daria and Sabatino. They made the process seamless and stress free from planning, to the return from the tour. We loved that the tour did allow us a nice balance of private and group time, so you didn't ever feel rushed and had time to explore on our own. We have to give a big shout out to our JD, Giorgia and driver Gulio for helping make the trip so interesting and fun for all. The Itinerary split between Rome and Sorrento allowed for visits to many of each areas famous sights and taste the unique food and wines of the region. The two beautiful boutique hotels and the unique restaurants and wineries we visited were just wonderful. I would not hesitate to recommend a Nada's tour to any of our friends and family and would book another for ourselves in the future.

I have no words. Well, I have many words actually. Absolutely amazing, incredible, humbling, intense, eye opening, informative, so far beyond our expectations!! We had been trying to get to Italy for 3 years and due to COVID and other life events getting in the way we finally made it! We chose the Italian Treasures Tour and it was truly amazing and special. The idea of having someone who knew the region and spoke the language was very comforting and exactly what we were looking for on our first trip to Italy. True little gems that the locals eat at. Not only were they ridiculously delicious but it just made the experience all that more authentic. Every day would end with me saying 'This was the best day! What a wonderful time on the Amalfi Coast. From the breakfast on our balcony to dinner at the top of mountain, every thing was great. Our Journey Guide was amazing. Every excursion was perfectly planned. Every restaurant was family owned and met the family. Thank you so much for a wonderful time.

Our tour guide Georgia was awesome she was very knowledgeable, 10+ years experience. Barbara was our guide for the Vatican and The Coliseum ' she has over 27 years touring the Vatican. Our travel agent Daria was also fantastic she was very helpful with getting all of our travel arrangements together making sure we had enough time to arrive in town before the tour starts in case of flight issues. We've been on 2 tours with Nada's Italy. Both were superb! I recommend this company every time I talk with someone who is planning to go to Italy, as I did with my orthopedic doctor today. My only regret is we haven't been on more trips with her company! Small vans and day trips from local villas or hotels with exceptional drivers and guides. Do not ever hesitate booking with Nada's Italy! We've never gotten to be with her on a tour but the personnel she chooses are top notch. I did get to take some Italian lessons from her before our first trip with the company. The company can help if you want to go early or stay a few days at the end. Just go!!!
My husband and I are just back from the Blissfully Italy tour. From the initial contact to our welcome home email this organization delivers 100+%. Our Tour Director, Alessio, was outstanding. He is knowledgeable, professional, efficient and a joy to be around. Each city guide gave in depth information and offered a detailed glimpse into the long history of Italy. In addition to the planned tours, we added a couple private tours and extended our Italy time with a three-day excursion to Venice with private guides. All of which were planned by the ByDesign wing of Nada's. Everything about our Italy experience was perfect. So much so that we have scheduled another tour with Nada's in 2024.
I just returned from my very first international trip and, at the recommendation of many friends, I chose Nada's Blissfully Italian tour to Rome, Florence and Tuscany. As a novice traveler, I had been told that this one would be an excellent choice and it did NOT disappoint! This was our third trip with Nada's Italy. We did the Northern Italian Delights Tour...it was, as always, fantastic! We were a small group of 10, and our Journey Director, Daniella, was wonderful. We went to cities (Milan, Turin), and small towns. We visited a rice farm, a few wineries, went truffle hunting (and actually found some!), had a cooking class, and many more fun things. You cannot go wrong going with Nada's!! I just wish the trips were longer!! Many thanks to all that helped plan this great trip...
Wow, just returned from the Tuscany wine and food tour and am so enchanted by that region. This tour gave us a solid immersion in the history, culture, significance, foods , and wines of this incredible area. Roberto, our tour guide was full of insider information, customs, etc. He was everything you could ask for is a tour guide, and a great guy to know! The city guide in Florence, Elisa, offered such insight, filling in the gaps so every site was more than just a pretty building'we understood the significance and rich history of every place we visited, and how each site was affected by the other places we visited. The food, oh my ''the food!!!!! So delicious, we had so many dishes we had never even heard of before, as well as the best quality of food I have ever eaten. Great choices in venues. Lastly, the wines'..I am convinced you cannot get a bad wine in Tuscany, each more delicious than the next. If you want to truly experience this important region, do yourself a favor and sign up with a Nada's tour, you won't be disappointed. They have set up the perfect way to experience Tuscany, and if you have special needs, food preferences, etc, they will address each of them. Well worth the time and money.

Another great trip to Italy with Nada's ! Our journey director Daniela took very good care of us on our second trip, this time to Northern Italy. A great mix of active and less active days and loved the sights, the food, the people. This was a wonderful trip.
We have taken two trips to Italy with Nada's Italy. Both times we created our own tour group with family, however, the tour itinerary was essentially the same as their regular tours. We just returned from a trip to the Puglia region and it was a great experience! The Nada's Italy team does a fantastic job selecting local hotels and restaurants that are a cut above the usual, and truly give you a local feel for the area you are visiting. They hire local guides to share knowledge about each area you visit. All combined, it really makes your trip a special experience. I can't recommend them highly enough. They take care of all the details, the transportation, reservations, day to day plans (no waiting in lines, ever!), etc and you can just relax and enjoy the trip!
Buongiorno! My daughter and I just returned from Nada's Italy La Dolce Vita tour. We were traveling with eight friends with whom we had traveled before. It was just a magical trip! All of the experiences were amazing - cooking class at a beautiful villa, visiting the Ferrari Museum, seeing places where Parmesan cheese, prosciutto, and balsamic vinegar are produced, and going to Assisi and other charming hill towns! It was an interesting itinerary. The pace was perfect and our tour director and the local guides were knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. The office staff at Nada's was also most helpful when I encountered some airline issues the day before my departure. This was not my first Nada's Italy tour and it definitely was not my last! Ciao!
Our travel to Sicily with Nada's Italy was fabulous. Everything was perfectly planned and coordinated. We stayed in the most beautiful small hotels, dinners were at local restaurants and we also visited winery's and a cheese making farm. But the thing that most stood out was our guide, Enzo. Enzo knew the region of Sicily, took us to tourist places but more importantly to now tourist attractions. He responded to requests such as we want to see a traditional puppeteer and the large puppets. He made the trip. I can't say enough about his attention to details. I developed a cold on the trip and he finds the pharmacy and also finds a packet filled with the individual Kleenex packages. Amazing. I will travel with Nada's again.
We just returned from our first trip with Nada's, we had a fabulous time. Everything was taken care of, with no worries about anything. I did have one complaint, the rooms were to small for a couple, perfect for a single person. We heard the same complaint from others in the group. I would recommend any couple upgrade their room size at booking. I would have also like to have spent some more time at the Coliseum, St Peters Cathedral, and the sixteenth chapel. Nada's has reversed the trip so in the future, the trip starts in Venice and ends in Rome, so I would recommend adding additional days to your trip to Rome. Otherwise we were very happy with everything, would recommend Nada's to everybody!
We just returned from the most incredible trip to Spain planned by Nada's! They planned the most wonderful private tours in each of our stops which truly was the highlight of our trip. My husband and I also both agree that having the private transfers from and to airports and train stations was SUCH a luxury. We will definitely use Nada's again when we plan our trip to Italy!
We went on a fabulous small group tour with Nada a few years ago and it was so well-planned and personal. Every detail was taken care of for us and we did not have to worry about any of the usual hassles like tickets and transportation- and we got access to special queue lines that allowed entry more quickly at certain sites. The travel was in comfortable Mercedes Sprinter vans. We ate the most wonderful food in every location we visited because Nada knows the inside scoop on the small and special places that you might miss otherwise. It was a perfect trip in every way. Can't wait to go on another with her!

We went to so many places where we didn't see Americans, remote quant towns and wonderful restaurants. I can't imagine a better experience! This fall we are headed to Puglia with Nadas, joined by friends we made in our first trip. We can't wait to see what treasures we get to see this time'.. I can't say enough good about Nadas ~ their tripe are simply amazing.
We have been fortunate to be with Nada's for two tours (Italian Treasures, 2019, and Puglia Paradise, 2022). Both were amazing experiences for the culture, history, scenery, food (oh yes, the food!). Our guides (Christina, Sergio, and Dino) were the best in their knowledge (and pride) in their country and desire to share with us the "little tidbits" you just cannot get with large tour groups. We cannot recommend this company highly enough; ten stars would still be too little. We hope to be on a third tour soon.
We just returned from a personalized tour of Rome, Venice, Florence, and several smaller Italian towns. Nada's Italy made the arrangements for us for hotels, tours, and transportation, and handled it all flawlessly. Guides were all knowledgeable, personable, and flexible. Drivers were on time, pleasant and helpful, for normal airport and train pick-ups, and even making modifications to "on the fly tag team" adjustments to use two drivers/vehicles to get through a traffic jam from an unexpected train accident. They never missed a beat. Accommodations were all very nice. I highly recommend them.
Just returned from the Magic of Spain Nada's tour. It was exceptional from start to finish. Fantastic tour director and all city guides had a depth of knowledge about each city and venue. The hotels were 4-star and the restuarant s selected or recommended by our tour director were outstanding. The historical significance of Southern Spain was unexpected. The combination of Moorish, Roman and Christian architecture was facinating. We highly recommend this tour!
Our Family of Four loved the Fantastic Italian Treasures Tour. NADA'S did an excellent job communicating before the trip, having the BEST guide to cover extra needs, and giving us surprise venues, vistas, and an overall excellent trip. The small group aspect made everything personal and curated.
What an amazing trip! Nada was wonderful. The planning, communication, accommodations, variety of activities, pace, and group size were perfect. Giorgia was the best tour guide we have ever had. It was a spectacular way to visit the Amalfi Coast.

Our third Nada's trip was spectacular. Enzo, our guide, was funny, charming, very well-educated and extraordinarily helpful. Once again we found sights and sites we would never have by ourselves--for example, the cheese farm where we made our own ricotta and tasted a variety of cheese. Enzo took us to the sites in the renowned book and TV series "Inspector Montalbano" for a special treat. And I loved the Sicilian tradition of frozen granita on brioche for breakfast. Thanks again, Nada!
Amalfi Coast trip was unbelievable. The hotel was great, perched on the hill overlooking that beautiful water. Our host, Lala, was fantastic. We will be booking another tour.

Hats off the Nada's Italy for our incredible bucket list trip. It was my and my husbands first trip to Europe/Italy and a bucklist item. I'm so happy we chose Nada's. From start to finish it was magical. Even before the trip started, working with Sabatino and Daria was simple and easy. They were there every step of the way to answer all of my many crazy questions and ensured we were comfortable with all the pretravel arrangements. We chose Nada's because we were able to show up with our suitcase's and not have to think or deal with any of the planning. And that is exactly what we did! Everything was seamless. We had been trying to get to Italy for 3 years and due to COVID and other life events getting in the way we finally made it! We chose the Italian Treasures Tour and it was truly amazing and special. The idea of having someone who knew the region and spoke the language was very comforting and exactly what we were looking for on our first trip to Italy. Having a Journey Director made all the difference. We are soooo spoiled now. I can't imagine ever traveling again to a new country without one. Our Journey Director was Enzo. The only word I have for Enzo is WOW!!!!!! He was amazing!!!!!! He went above and beyond in everything he did. He was a true professional and so passionate about every aspect of the trip. True little gems that the locals eat at. Not only were they ridiculously delicious but it just made the experience all that more authentic. Every day would end with me saying 'This was the best day! We've been on 2 tours with Nada's Italy. Both were superb! I recommend this company every time I talk with someone who is planning to go to Italy, as I did with my orthopedic doctor today. My only regret is we haven't been on more trips with her company! Small vans and day trips from local villas or hotels with exceptional drivers and guides. Do not ever hesitate booking with Nada's Italy! We've never gotten to be with her on a tour but the personnel she chooses are top notch. I did get to take some Italian lessons from her before our first trip with the company. The company can help if you want to go early or stay a few days at the end. Just go!!!
My husband and I are just back from the Blissfully Italy tour. From the initial contact to our welcome home email this organization delivers 100+%. Our Tour Director, Alessio, was outstanding. He is knowledgeable, professional, efficient and a joy to be around. Each city guide gave in depth information and offered a detailed glimpse into the long history of Italy. In addition to the planned tours, we added a couple private tours and extended our Italy time with a three-day excursion to Venice with private guides. All of which were planned by the ByDesign wing of Nada's. Everything about our Italy experience was perfect. So much so that we have scheduled another tour with Nada's in 2024.
Wow, just returned from the Tuscany wine and food tour and am so enchanted by that region. This tour gave us a solid immersion in the history, culture, significance, foods , and wines of this incredible area. Roberto, our tour guide was full of insider information, customs, etc. He was everything you could ask for is a tour guide, and a great guy to know! The city guide in Florence, Elisa, offered such insight, filling in the gaps so every site was more than just a pretty building'we understood the significance and rich history of every place we visited, and how each site was affected by the other places we visited. The food, oh my ''the food!!!!! So delicious, we had so many dishes we had never even heard of before, as well as the best quality of food I have ever eaten. Great choices in venues. Lastly, the wines'..I am convinced you cannot get a bad wine in Tuscany, each more delicious than the next. If you want to truly experience this important region, do yourself a favor and sign up with a Nada's tour, you won't be disappointed. They have set up the perfect way to experience Tuscany, and if you have special needs, food preferences, etc, they will address each of them. Well worth the time and money.

Absolutely wonderful experience! Everything was well planned. Hotel accommodations were top notch. Great food and wine and the tours and sites were amazing! A great balance between group activities and time to explore on our own. We are already thinking about what part of Italy we want to visit next with Nada's.

Three immutable facts about group tours: (1) you are only as early as the latest person (2) you are only as fast as the slowest person and (3) your schedule is not your own. If you're comfortable with these, then Nada's small group tours are a great way to go. Our tour director, Giorgia, was relentlessly cheerful and upbeat, and the local guides were very knowledgeable (as you would expect) but also obviously enjoyed what they were doing. The Rome part of the tour hit the box-checking sites- Colosseum, Sistine Chapel, St Peter's, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps. Tix were pre-purchased, but so does every other tour group, so there are still crowds and waits. The second half of the tour was the Amalfi coast and Pompeii. The scenery is spectacular but the towns- Sorrento, Amalfi, Positano- have little to commend themselves except shops, The towns rather look the same. It's a terrific drive but not any place to spend more than a day. Same with Capri. Pompeii was amazing. Our hotel was gorgeous, with an unobstructed view of Naples Bay and Vesuvius. Restaurants they selected were all good, and mercifully served "family style" so we didn't have to slog through individual orders. All meals except breakfast were served with wine or soft drinks or water. We went in late October, supposedly "post-peak", but Rome was quite crowded (hour and a half line to get in to St Peter's). I thought the Amalfi coast was crowded, too, but our guides kept saying it was "empty" compared to two weeks before. I cannot imagine. If you're looking to see a breadth of Italy at the expense of depth, Nada's is the way to go, but go in off-peak season.

My husband and I returned just last week from Nada's Italy: Jewels of the Amalfi Coast tour. It absolutely exceeded our expectations in every way. In Positano, the Reginella Hotel staff were friendly, helpful, and professional. Our room had a terrace where we had breakfast each morning, overlooking the bay and the terraced cliffs. Superb! The sites we visited were interesting and beautiful; and at many of the sites, a guide who was knowledgeable about the specific site met our group of 12 there, and gave us his/her full attention. The itinerary was perfect, and the food? Oh, the food! It was prepared to perfection, and it was plentiful, as was the local wine. The staff at each eatery was attentive, and so, so welcoming! Our happy memories of this tour will last a lifetime.

This was my 3rd trip with Nada's Italy (1 other in Italy & 1 in Spain). They do an amazing job with their small group tours- -- loved the itinerary that combines guided tours as well as free time. The hotels they book all had very convenient locations in the heart of the cities/towns, & the restaurants for our group meals served absolutely amazing food. Their home office in the US was very responsive to any inquiries. We plan on traveling with Nada's again in the future.
It's been 2 weeks since we got back from the Italian Treasures Tour (5/05/2023-5/15/23) absolutely amazing'.words don't do it justice you need to experience it for yourself!! Nada's team from US ( Sabatino/Daria) and in Italy (Sabrina) plus all of the city guides ( Barbara, Elisa, Elizabeth and Giorgia) knocked it out of the park. From transportation, included meals, hotels and refreshments to free time and shopping'.every detail was thought out and executed with precision. The included food and drinks were very generous. All the hotels were in safe, walkable locations to enjoy the many sights and restaurants. Our Journey Director Sabrina was fabulous or as my husband would say 'straordinaria!' Truly, she ensured that all the details of the tour were taken care of and run like a fine tuned machine. No way could I have planned something like this on my own. Again, bravo to Nada's Italy for an amazing trip and memories that will last a lifetime? Ciao

The Amalfi Coast with Nada's Itlay May 2023 The Jewels of the Amalfi Coast was everything we wished for. A trip of a lifetime. This was our second trip with Nada and both went perfectly. Sitting on our balcony, overlooking Positano while having breakfast. Power Boating along the coast. Drinks on the terrace at a 5 star resort. Learning the history of a Greek and Roman city. And the food! Each restaurant was small family owned and wonderful. Our Journey Guide handeled everything perfectly. What a wonderful trip.
My first experience with Nada's Italy was booking a custom tour to celebrate my 60th birthday with family and friends. They delivered exactly what I asked for'.cooking class, wine tasting, a villla stay and more. The agent who helped me plan and the guides in Italy were very helpful and knowledgeable about everything we wanted to see and experience. That was such a wonderful trip that I decided to try one of their small group organized tours and returned to do the Northern Italy tour with my husband a few years later. The tour included Milan, Lake Como and Turin, plus a villa stay and a wine tasting on top of a renaissance tower! We are checking our schedules now and hope to book Nada's Puglia trip for some time in '24. One great advantage is that they use small vans, not giant busses, so they can get you right into the historic center of a lot of smaller towns. Very nice for someone that can't walk a long distance because of health problems. If you're looking for a great Italian experience, you can't go wrong booking with Nada's.
I first used Nada's Italy in 2016 on a custom trip to Italy with my two daughters. They were recommended to me by a friend who went on a tour. Since it was our first trip to Italy and we wanted to travel throughout the country, using a company specializing in Italy was a no-brainer. This was one of our favorite trips. From hotel selection (we needed a junior suite) to transportation to the guided culture and food tours, a winery tour, and seeing every major attraction, nothing was left to chance. We also allowed for time on our own to do some exploring. We next used their custom tour services for a trip to Spain. Again, they came through with excellent hotel accommodations, private transportation, and guided cultural and food tours while giving us time to explore by ourselves. We are now less than a month away (June 23rd) from using their company to help us plan a trip to the south of France. I knew they did a France tour, so it seemed like a natural choice to return to Nada's. I've heard wonderful reviews of their group tours. We are more interested in custom tours. Many believe that it is easy to arrange your own trip with social media and the internet. I disagree. You need to partner with a company that knows the country, has business contacts, and can arrange a seamless trip. We are visiting during a very busy time, and many of the hotels were sold out. I've learned from my social media feeds (TikTok and Reels) that anyone can post pictures of places to see and things to do, but how do you even know they have been to those places? I prefer a reputable company to arrange the accommodation, so I know it meets our needs. Having a driver/Tour guide drive us from town to town eliminates any surprises, especially when you have a long wish list of places to see. Cannot wait until our South of France trip. I would highly recommend Nada's Italy to anyone traveling to Europe. Our trips have all been mother-daughter trips and the most amazing experience.
The Jewels of the Amalfi Coast May 2023 ' Couples This was an outstanding tour of one the best parts of Italy. Our Journey Director Lala was great. Enzo our driver kept us on time at our site visits and safe on those winding roads. The boat tours were amazing and the cooking class was one of the parts of the trip. I plan on going on another Nada's Tour soon!
Nada's travel agency is well versed in the intricacies of small group tours and getting behind the scenes where most tourists don't. the big benefit is she is Italian and has family in multiple locations.

My dad and I traveled to Rome, Italy with Nada's tours and to say it was great doesn't cut it. We planned this trip in less than 3 months and the team helped us put together an itinerary that fit exactly what we wanted to do in a short amount of time. To top it all off, our trip was originally supposed to last a total for 4 days. We were able to visit Rome, Florence and San Gimignano in that amount of time. The morning we were supposed to depart we found out that our trip was extended by another 4 days unexpectedly. My dad called Nada's in a panic but the team had an entire new itinerary planned in 3 hours. From the Customer service, communication, tour guides, drivers, to the hotels, everything was seamless. I can't imagine returning to Italy without using Nada's' and I would tell anyone else planning to go to use them as well.

From our first 'Aperitivo' to our parting farewell this was an awesome trip. We had the best tour director, Sabrina, fantastic tour guides and drivers. Great wine, food, and the other travelers on our tour were all wonderful people. We started with Sabatino and Daria with our planning and they basically are with you every step of the way handling all details in a timely fashion. Once on the tour your trip becomes a dream come true.

My wife and I recently worked with Nada's Italy to plan our 2 week honeymoon trip (August 2022) and could not recommend the Nada's Italy team enough! Amazing Amalfi coast Sep 2022 Just completed Nada's Amalfi coast. What a great experience! I give it the highest marks in every category. Dino our journey director, Enzo our driver. They made it really special. I suspect some tours cut corners but not this company, First rate accommodations, great destinations and side trips, awesome smaller out of the way restaurants with amazing food. My wife and I agreed it was truly out of the ordinary. I always know when I've spent my hard earned money well and Nada's Italy exceeded my expectations!
We've done 2 trips with Nadas and just booked our third ! To say these journeys are amazing is an understatement. These trips are an intimate glimpse into parts of Italy most Americans never see' of course the big iconic landmarks are covered, but when you are strolling thru the most beautiful little towns where there are 150 residents and little artisan shops where Americans are never seen'.. sipping wine overlooking the hills of Tuscany. Boating from Positano to Capri'.. dinner in a beautiful spot well above Positano'' when the journey directors become friends. Amazing experiences ~ can't wait to return. Oh- and we never go in tours'.. Indeed these are trips for people who don't do tours. We could not recommend more highly !

Nada and her team are amazing. We toured once with a group of strangers and then a second trip with friends. Access and insight to parts of Italy that would not be available to most tourists. Guides are very accommodating and every effort is made to make the trip memorable.
We went on a fabulous small group tour with Nada recently- the Italian Treasures tour- to Rome, Florence, Venice and many other small villages that were almost better than the cities. It was so well-planned and personal. Every detail was taken care of for us and we did not have to worry about any of the usual hassles like tickets and transportation- and we got access to special queue lines that allowed entry more quickly at certain sites. The travel was in comfortable Mercedes Sprinter vans. We ate the most wonderful food in every location we visited because Nada knows the inside scoop on the small and special places that you might miss otherwise. It was a perfect trip in every way. Can't wait to go on another with her!

If you want a custom small group tour catered to every detail then Nadas will deliver. First trip to Tuscany was easy five star. Just returned from Amalfi coast and it was a 6. Deno our guide did a great job and we went places most tourist do not get to see. Only 12 in group so it was perfect.
Food, Wine & Traditions of Tuscany - Unbelievably Wonderful. Not to be missed. We ate our way through Tuscany trying a variety of Tuscan dishes. Ilaria, our guide, went the extra mile to ensure an authentic, informative, and fun experience. She is the BEST! The many towns and villages all had their own unique personality. The cooking lessons went beyond imagination to provide an inside look of Tuscan life. We loved every minute.
My husband and I did the Jewels of the Amalfi Coast tour with Nada's Italy in October 2019. I had been wanting to visit the Amalfi Coast for over 18 years and Nada's team made this dream come true. Our best vacations have been with Nada's. We loved the Amalfi Coast experience and were afraid it couldn't get and better, but then we discovered Florence and had the Nada's staff add on three days of private cooking classes. Each class was more exciting and interesting than the last with our final days spent cooking with Michelin Star chef Filipina's Soporito and his extraordinarily talented wife Ombretta. We just returned from the best Italian vacation on the Amalfi coast that we booked thru Nada's of Italy. This is the second vacation, 'Jewels of the Amalfi Coast' that we took with Nada. Our first experience with Nada's was the 'Italian Treasures Tour' in 2015 which was just as great! After leaving Rome (1 night) we stayed in Positano at the wonderful Hotel Reginella for 8 nights/9 days. From our hotel we had daily adventures to the surrounding towns (Ravello, Sorrento, Amalfi, Paestum, and Pompeii), and a boat ride to Capri and cruised the Amalfi coast in a 35 ft boat. We also got to see many great historical sites including Herculean, & Pompeii. In addition, we visited places we would never have thought existed like Tenuta Vannulo (water buffalo farm) where we had an informative tour and wonderful fresh buffalo mozzarella with our lunch. Every daily trip was perfectly planned. Every meal was wonderful and at small, quaint, family owned restaurants cooking wonderful homemade delicacies. We even got to make our own dinner at Fattoria Terranova and met the patriarch. It was a night to remember. Our tour director, Alessandro and his partner for the trip 'Michela' were fabulous. They were so well versed on the history of all sights we visited and also shared great information about the history of Italy whether politics or the 'fun facts' about each town and the famous people that were part of Italian history. Both Michela and Alessandro had warm and engaging personalities which added to our wonderful experience. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone that wants an effortless trip (no analysis by paralysis of where to go) and want to be part of a small group. Our group was full with just 12 people which was completely manageable. This was well planned and executed to perfection and you don't have to worry about anything, except showing up and having fun!
I couldn't be happier with the Nada's Italy tours we recently completed! We did both the Jewels of the Amalfi Coast and the Italian Treasures tours. The itineraries for both were excellent. We had just the right balance of scheduled activities and free time to explore on our own. There were even surprises built in to the schedule which made the trip all the more fun. The hotels, meals and planned activities were all wonderful! All of the personnel associated with Nada's, from the drivers to the super knowledgeable city guides to the office staff, were very professional and a pleasure to work with. Our program director was an absolute gem! One of the best features of our trip was the small group format. Because we were only 12 people, we became very close, an aspect of the trip I did not expect but very much appreciated! We even hung out together during our free time. We have traveled in Italy before, planning our own itineraries. We were planning to do so on this trip as well, but became interested in the idea of joining a small group tour. When we researched several possibilities, Nada's Italy stood out as the best small group tour company for Italy. Before the tour, the information flow from Nada's was excellent. We felt well prepared before we left, because they provided hard copy and e-text information that helped us set our expectations for the trip. They sent a wonderful gift package that included an information booklet covering all the things we needed to know about traveling in Italy plus many other helpful items. We went on Nada's first Mediterranean Bliss tour of Rome and the Amalfi Coast with two other couples that we met on the trip. We thoroughly enjoyed our group and the camaraderie that developed. Our amazing journey director, Clarissa Mannino, watched over us throughout the trip, providing excellent guidance and support. Even during our free time, she always seemed to appear if we had questions or needed direction. She did a wonderful job of sharing with us Italian culture and customs. She was just delightful!!! The tour was planned with an excellent attention to details combining seeing major sites with a city guide in Rome, the wonderful Barbara, and allowing for moderate amounts of free time to explore on our own. We stayed in top notch hotels, particularly the beautiful villa in Sorrento. We enjoyed Italian cuisine in elegant spots as well as in a local family owned pizzeria. All of the meals were excellent with multiple courses and the opportunity to try the local favorites of each area. The length of the tour was perfect and we felt well-cared for during the entire trip! Our group kept remarking to each other that, on our own, we never would have experienced the incredible things that we did with Nada's! We recommend Nada's Italy highly!
What an amazing first trip to Italy with Nada's. The tour was just perfect -- great hotels, amazing restaurants, picture-perfect scenery. The little side trips that Natalia took us on were everything I wanted Italy to be, and more! I would book again with Nada's any day and highly recommend it to people who are looking for a hassle-free trip.
I wish there were more stars for this review, because I don't feel that 5 stars is enough. This was our first trip utilizing Nada's Italy for our 10-day Rome vacation. I must say that I am forever spoiled by their organization, attention to detail and turn key service. I enjoyed the expedited entry we received in the popular spots that had long lines just to get in. This extra time allowed us to explore, take pictures and ask all of the questions we needed to ask. Each one of our guides, Marina, Barbara, Elisa and Cristina were extremely personable and very knowledgeable in their areas. It was hard saying good bye to each of them as we developed a bond that made us feel like old friends. Even Maurizio, our driver, made us feel welcome and was always quick to join in the laughs we had while driving around Rome. We will definitely be using Nada's Italy again for another trip. I cannot say enough good things about them. Thank you for an incredible family vacation that we are sure to remember the rest of our lives!
We recently went on Nada's Italy "Italian Treasures Tour". Nada and her team in the U.S. and Italy exceeded our dreams in so many ways. The unique aspects of this small tour cannot be matched. It is the little nuances and special knowledge of this beautiful country that Nada and her team bring to life. There are side trips and stops to fantastic countryside villas that fit in so well with the overall experience. And the food and wine is truly remarkable and memorable. Daria Donnelly and Jesse Fell were so helpful at the front end to make sure that we knew what to expect and had useful information prior to our departure. When in Italy, Allessandro Di Domenico was always available to share his knowledge with us. We will have nothing but fond memories of his love of Italy, personality, charm and humor. The local tour guides were extremely knowledgeable and gave us information that was historical, unique and fun. We were also fortunate to meet Natasha Pedretti who was assisting Allesandro with our daily itenerary. Everyone treated us like family. We are already discussing our next trip to Italy. And if we could spend it with the same guides and fellow travelers on this trip we would do it in a heartbeat. Such wonderful people that we still connect with them even though we are back home now. We spent 2 weeks in Italy with Nada's and the trip was amazing from start to finish. We started in Sorrento and the Amalfi coast. Next was Rome, Florence and then we ended our trip in Venice. We got everything out of the trip we expected and so much more. They had guides that were experts in the history of their cities. They were entertaining and gave us enough information to better understand the history and culture that was specific to the places we visited, but it was not overload. Nada's had surprises throughout the trip that made our experience special. They did an exceptional job of planning and focus on the details of everything from the places we visited, where we stayed, the food and drink. If I could give Nada's more than 5 stars I absolutely would. I highly recommend them to anyone who wants the trip of a lifetime.

What exceeds superlatives? My recent trip with Nada's Italy was as close to perfect as could be expected. It started with being with a small group of wonderful people and continued with impeccable logisitics at every point of the trip. We were escorted in new, comfortable Mercedes-Benz SUV's with plenty of room by experienced and friendly drivers. Each hotel was first-rate and conveniently located. The food was delicious and certainly plentiful (Florentine steak - wow!). We were ushered into popular venues with no trouble and had plenty of time to explore each to our heart's content. We were lucky not to have encountered large crowds and were able to get up close and personal to the most famous artifacts in the world. And then there was Crisitina. Our tour guide was overflowing with knowledge, enthusiasm and energy. She saw to our every need and was able to fulfill personal requests promptly, accurately, and always did so with a warm smile. Nada's Italy was recommended to me by friends and I heartily thank them for that. I, too, will heartily recommend Nada's Italy to others.
We have been on 3 Nada's Italy Tours of Italia. Each one was spectacular in EVERY respect. The first was with Nada herself in Tuscany. Wow. I will share photos later. The second was to Bologna/Modena/Parma/ Roma. The most recent was the Sizzling Sicily Tour. Perfetto !!! My first visit to Spain was truly magical! Every detail of sites, food, accommodations, transportation was met with ease. Our guides were passionate and knowledgeable in every way. In the end they became dear friends, tears of sadness to leave them. This trip was one of my most memorable one that exceeded all expectation! Thank you all for making it a trip of a lifetime.
If you're looking for a company to guide you through Italy ' yet you're not comfortable with the mass-produced tours offered by many other companies ' look no further than Nada's Italy. Their tag line is 'Tours for people who don't go on tours', and that's a great description of what Nada's does. We just returned from their 'Mediterranean Bliss' tour and could not have been more impressed. Our group was comprised of three couples (Nada's limits the number of people to a maximum of 12), and we received top-notch service and attention. Our guide, Clarissa (a Florence native), was awesome, both in terms of knowledge and in building rapport within our group, given that we had never met the other four folks before. She knew all the ins-and-outs of everywhere we went (Rome, Sorrento, Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast, and later ' by ourselves, Florence) and made sure that she took us to all the places we wanted to see. In addition, the 'city guides' who Nada's uses are very knowledgeable and entertaining. In Rome, Barbara was able to get us in front of all the crowds with VIP treatment at the Colosseum and Vatican City. That alone saved us many hours of waiting in line. In Pompeii, Margarite brought us back in time to explain the history of the city. Along the way, Clarissa came up with a number of side stops that she announced as 'surprises', each of which enhanced our experience. (We won't spoil the 'surprises' by telling you what they were, but they were all fun!) Since this wasn't what most of us consider a 'tour', our transportation was a real treat. We usually rode in large Mercedes vans with very comfortable seating, and our drivers (Mauricio in Rome and Gialuca in Sorrento) were great, navigating the roads (many of them very narrow) expertly, and taking short-cuts when needed to avoid traffic. While Mediterranean Bliss is structured (which it needs to be to ensure you see all the sights), Nada's does leave time for you to explore on your own. That includes making your own restaurant choices a few of the nights, a nice departure from most tours that pack you into a different restaurant every night. Those meals that Nada's does plan were awesome! The restaurants were great, as was the food, service and ambience. Clarissa knew many of the restaurant managers, which made us welcomed guests. She also suggested other restaurants and places to see during our free time. As noted in the first paragraph of this review, we highly recommend Nada's Italy. Every contact we had with them ' whether it was on the phone, via email, or in-person (we live close to their Florida office) ' was very professional and friendly. Their staff is great to deal with and they answered our questions quickly. We will definitely travel with Nada's again Buon viaggio!
We have had many wonderful vacations, but we had never been on a group tour. Then we decided to finally take the big Italy vacation we had always promised ourselves. Because there was just so much we wanted to see, and so much to learn, and so many details to get right, we decided to try a group tour for the first time. Right away, Nada's motto 'Tours for people who don't go on tours' spoke to us! But we didn't jump in right away, instead we compared what Nada offered versus other operators. Several companies with 'small' group tours offer similar itineraries to Nada's "Italian Treasures" and promise similar amenities. But Nada seemed more interested in the culture, food and experiences rather than only a checklist of must-see's. And the price was competitive. Our travel dreams were realized beyond all expectations! Our tour leader Alessandro was an exceptional personality, incredibly helpful and informative, yet low key and cordial. We loved that he worked so hard to keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes, yet was able to join in the experience with personal comments. In particular, his very passionate and personal stories at the American cemetery were deeply moving and appreciated by all. We learned that Nada's definition of a 'small' group was really small, small enough that our group could go into any restaurant and be treated like normal guests, and small enough that our minivans could go places big buses could not. And small enough that we could easily visit the artisan workshops, which was a real highlight. The value of a group, especially the very small Nada-sized group, was crystallized for me one morning in Florence. We had just had a wonderful round of visits to artisans in the Altrano, and the group was next going on to lunch and a patisserie. It was a good time for our local guide to give us a short heads-up presentation for what to expect later in the day when we visited the Uffizi. So, our group stopped in a small coffee shop, and while our local guide prepared us for the afternoon, Alessandro retrieved cappuccinos for all of us. It was all so smooth, so relaxing, so endearing, and yet such a good use of time. There is no way it could have worked so well with a larger group, and it would have been impossible to do all this so calmly on our own.
We had a wonderful time w Nada's Italy for our honeymoon. Our tour guides went above and beyond even surprising us with treats along the way. Every detail was planned and we didn't have to think about a thing!

I couldn't be happier with the Nada's Italy tours we recently completed! We did both the Jewels of the Amalfi Coast and the Italian Treasures tours. The itineraries for both were excellent. We had just the right balance of scheduled activities and free time to explore on our own. There were even surprises built in to the schedule which made the trip all the more fun. The hotels, meals and planned activities were all wonderful! All of the personnel associated with Nada's, from the drivers to the super knowledgeable city guides to the office staff, were very professional and a pleasure to work with. Our program director was an absolute gem! One of the best features of our trip was the small group format. Because we were only 12 people, we became very close, an aspect of the trip I did not expect but very much appreciated! We even hung out together during our free time. I wholeheartedly recommend traveling with Nada's Italy. It was an experience I'll never forget!
We have traveled in Italy before, planning our own itineraries. We were planning to do so on this trip as well, but became interested in the idea of joining a small group tour. When we researched several possibilities, Nada's Italy stood out as the best small group tour company for Italy. Before the tour, the information flow from Nada's was excellent. We felt well prepared before we left, because they provided hard copy and e-text information that helped us set our expectations for the trip. They sent a wonderful gift package that included an information booklet covering all the things we needed to know about traveling in Italy plus many other helpful items. We went on Nada's first Mediterranean Bliss tour of Rome and the Amalfi Coast with two other couples that we met on the trip. We thoroughly enjoyed our group and the camaraderie that developed. Our amazing journey director, Clarissa Mannino, watched over us throughout the trip, providing excellent guidance and support. Even during our free time, she always seemed to appear if we had questions or needed direction. She did a wonderful job of sharing with us Italian culture and customs. She was just delightful!!! The tour was planned with an excellent attention to details combining seeing major sites with a city guide in Rome, the wonderful Barbara, and allowing for moderate amounts of free time to explore on our own. We stayed in top notch hotels, particularly the beautiful villa in Sorrento. We enjoyed Italian cuisine in elegant spots as well as in a local family owned pizzeria. All of the meals were excellent with multiple courses and the opportunity to try the local favorites of each area. The length of the tour was perfect and we felt well-cared for during the entire trip! Our group kept remarking to each other that, on our own, we never would have experienced the incredible things that we did with Nada's! We recommend Nada's Italy highly!
I wish there were more stars for this review, because I don't feel that 5 stars is enough. This was our first trip utilizing Nada's Italy for our 10-day Rome vacation. I must say that I am forever spoiled by their organization, attention to detail and turn key service. I enjoyed the expedited entry we received in the popular spots that had long lines just to get in. This extra time allowed us to explore, take pictures and ask all of the questions we needed to ask. Each one of our guides, Marina, Barbara, Elisa and Cristina were extremely personable and very knowledgeable in their areas. It was hard saying good bye to each of them as we developed a bond that made us feel like old friends. Even Maurizio, our driver, made us feel welcome and was always quick to join in the laughs we had while driving around Rome. We will definitely be using Nada's Italy again for another trip. I cannot say enough good things about them. Thank you for an incredible family vacation that we are sure to remember the rest of our lives!
We spent 2 weeks in Italy with Nada's and the trip was amazing from start to finish. We started in Sorrento and the Amalfi coast. Next was Rome, Florence and then we ended our trip in Venice. We got everything out of the trip we expected and so much more. They had guides that were experts in the history of their cities. They were entertaining and gave us enough information to better understand the history and culture that was specific to the places we visited, but it was not overload. Nada's had surprises throughout the trip that made our experience special. They did an exceptional job of planning and focus on the details of everything from the places we visited, where we stayed, the food and drink. If I could give Nada's more than 5 stars I absolutely would. I highly recommend them to anyone who wants the trip of a lifetime.
What exceeds superlatives? My recent trip with Nada's Italy was as close to perfect as could be expected. It started with being with a small group of wonderful people and continued with impeccable logisitics at every point of the trip. We were escorted in new, comfortable Mercedes-Benz SUV's with plenty of room by experienced and friendly drivers. Each hotel was first-rate and conveniently located. The food was delicious and certainly plentiful (Florentine steak - wow!). We were ushered into popular venues with no trouble and had plenty of time to explore each to our heart's content. We were lucky not to have encountered large crowds and were able to get up close and personal to the most famous artifacts in the world. And then there was Crisitina. Our tour guide was overflowing with knowledge, enthusiasm and energy. She saw to our every need and was able to fulfill personal requests promptly, accurately, and always did so with a warm smile. Nada's Italy was recommended to me by friends and I heartily thank them for that. I, too, will heartily recommend Nada's Italy to others.
My first visit to Spain was truly magical! Every detail of sites, food, accommodations, transportation was met with ease. Our guides were passionate and knowledgeable in every way. In the end they became dear friends, tears of sadness to leave them. This trip was one of my most memorable one that exceeded all expectation! Thank you all for making it a trip of a lifetime.
If you're looking for a company to guide you through Italy ' yet you're not comfortable with the mass-produced tours offered by many other companies ' look no further than Nada's Italy. Their tag line is 'Tours for people who don't go on tours', and that's a great description of what Nada's does. We just returned from their 'Mediterranean Bliss' tour and could not have been more impressed. Our group was comprised of three couples (Nada's limits the number of people to a maximum of 12), and we received top-notch service and attention. Our guide, Clarissa (a Florence native), was awesome, both in terms of knowledge and in building rapport within our group, given that we had never met the other four folks before. She knew all the ins-and-outs of everywhere we went (Rome, Sorrento, Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast, and later ' by ourselves, Florence) and made sure that she took us to all the places we wanted to see. In addition, the 'city guides' who Nada's uses are very knowledgeable and entertaining. In Rome, Barbara was able to get us in front of all the crowds with VIP treatment at the Colosseum and Vatican City. That alone saved us many hours of waiting in line. In Pompeii, Margarite brought us back in time to explain the history of the city. Along the way, Clarissa came up with a number of side stops that she announced as 'surprises', each of which enhanced our experience. (We won't spoil the 'surprises' by telling you what they were, but they were all fun!) Since this wasn't what most of us consider a 'tour', our transportation was a real treat. We usually rode in large Mercedes vans with very comfortable seating, and our drivers (Mauricio in Rome and Gialuca in Sorrento) were great, navigating the roads (many of them very narrow) expertly, and taking short-cuts when needed to avoid traffic. While Mediterranean Bliss is structured (which it needs to be to ensure you see all the sights), Nada's does leave time for you to explore on your own. That includes making your own restaurant choices a few of the nights, a nice departure from most tours that pack you into a different restaurant every night. Those meals that Nada's does plan were awesome! The restaurants were great, as was the food, service and ambience. Clarissa knew many of the restaurant managers, which made us welcomed guests. She also suggested other restaurants and places to see during our free time. As noted in the first paragraph of this review, we highly recommend Nada's Italy. Every contact we had with them ' whether it was on the phone, via email, or in-person (we live close to their Florida office) ' was very professional and friendly. Their staff is great to deal with and they answered our questions quickly. We will definitely travel with Nada's again Buon viaggio!
We have had many wonderful vacations, but we had never been on a group tour. Then we decided to finally take the big Italy vacation we had always promised ourselves. Because there was just so much we wanted to see, and so much to learn, and so many details to get right, we decided to try a group tour for the first time. Right away, Nada's motto 'Tours for people who don't go on tours' spoke to us! But we didn't jump in right away, instead we compared what Nada offered versus other operators. Several companies with 'small' group tours offer similar itineraries to Nada's "Italian Treasures" and promise similar amenities. But Nada seemed more interested in the culture, food and experiences rather than only a checklist of must-see's. And the price was competitive. Our travel dreams were realized beyond all expectations! Our tour leader Alessandro was an exceptional personality, incredibly helpful and informative, yet low key and cordial. We loved that he worked so hard to keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes, yet was able to join in the experience with personal comments. In particular, his very passionate and personal stories at the American cemetery were deeply moving and appreciated by all. We learned that Nada's definition of a 'small' group was really small, small enough that our group could go into any restaurant and be treated like normal guests, and small enough that our minivans could go places big buses could not. And small enough that we could easily visit the artisan workshops, which was a real highlight. The value of a group, especially the very small Nada-sized group, was crystallized for me one morning in Florence. We had just had a wonderful round of visits to artisans in the Altrano, and the group was next going on to lunch and a patisserie. It was a good time for our local guide to give us a short heads-up presentation for what to expect later in the day when we visited the Uffizi. So, our group stopped in a small coffee shop, and while our local guide prepared us for the afternoon, Alessandro retrieved cappuccinos for all of us. It was all so smooth, so relaxing, so endearing, and yet such a good use of time. There is no way it could have worked so well with a larger group, and it would have been impossible to do all this so calmly on our own.
Some of my friends had done the Amalfi Tour and were wanting to do the Tuscany one so we signed up with some friends of ours also. 12 of us altogether and the tour was perfect. They only do 6 to 12 people so its very small but they cover all the bases. We had a wonderful local tour guide and we stayed in San Casciano at the lovely Villa Barronci. Great small hotel with about 35 rooms. They took us out daily in two mercedes vans . Each day was a pleasure all the great town of Tuscany, Pienza, San Gamigiano , Montepulciana, Sienna, Arrezzo, Castiglione De Lago and two private cooking classes with Italian families that were so much fun. Great group they think of everything. Very unique experiences all along the way.
Just completed Nada's Italy, 'Jewels of the Amalfi Coast!' Leonardo, our tour director was knowledgeable, organized, and patient. Interesting commentary all along the way! Very small groups (we were 9) and excellent accommodations, excursions, and importantly, pace! It was a beautiful trip, exceeding my expectations!
Traveling with Nada's Italy resulted in a trip of a lifetime with endless fantastic memories! My husband and I were wary of traveling, having only done so via cruises or traveling directly to a resort but never leaving it, so the thought of flying to Europe and arranging our own transportation everywhere (especially with the horror stories you read about pick pockets), finding nice hotels and must-see tourist attractions, and eating terrific food where locals go seemed daunting, especially when you factor in the language barrier. The more we researched an Italian vacation, the more overwhelming it seemed, but when we narrowed our search result down to 'small tour group', Nada's Italy kept coming up over and over again, and each review raved about their experience, so we jumped right in. The communication with the entire Nada's team from months before our trip was excellent, especially since I'm a worrier and have lots of questions, so the fact that they answered my questions via e-mail immediately (usually the same day!) put my mind at ease. In addition, they provided what I came to think of as an essential travel guide, filled with helpful information such as how much to tip each person, what types of things I should pack, what to expect from each day, alternative transportation options to and from the airport, cultural differences, the best way to convert dollars to euros, etc. I already felt like I was in good hands long before our trip even began. We were delighted to be on the very first 'Mediterranean Bliss' tour, along with just 2 other couples. This tour covered far more than we could even dream of doing on our own within a week. We spent 3 days in Rome and visited the Pantheon, Spanish Steps, The Vatican Museum, St. Peter's Basilica, and the Colosseum. Nada's website advertises that they get you to the front of the line, but they really sell themselves short by not explaining that the 'VIP lines' easily contain 100+ people and move very slowly, while Nada's gets you right to the front of every single line! The Nada's tour guides have lived in the area and been in tourism so long that they know everyone who works at these tourist attractions (as well as half the people in the city, it seems!) so that they have the inside scoop regarding days when crowds are expected to be higher and they work behind the scenes to make things as smooth and convenient for you as possible. For instance, our guides got us to the Colosseum earlier than our itinerary stated since they had arranged for someone to open the back entrance, before it was set to open, so that we could walk right in. Once inside, we nearly had the whole (HUGE!!!) place to ourselves. Everywhere we went, we were accompanied by an expert who knew everything about where we were. At the Colosseum and Vatican, that was the fabulous Barbara Bruno. At Pompeii, that was Marguerite. You could see tourists there on their own who were trying to follow our group around to hear the endless interesting facts shared with us. They could answer every question, easily navigate our group through massive crowds while still being respectful of those around us and not getting in anyone's way, and never stopped sharing a wealth of information. Their passion for the subject matter was extremely evident. The ease of working with a small tour group was obvious when you saw large groups of 50 or more people who had to follow flags on tall sticks in order to find their tour leader, and always had to wear an ear piece to hear their tour director's microphone since they'd never get close enough to hear them otherwise. A small, intimate group of new friends sharing an experience was far more valuable than I can possibly express. In between seeing these amazing sights, we were treated to unbelievably delicious food! We never ordered our own meals since our tour guide ordered a wide variety of dishes so we could sample every local favorite, and we were never disappointed by the food or all the wine! We never left anywhere hungry, and couldn't get enough of the delectable food with the freshest ingredients, and each place was small and owned by a family that had been growing and sourcing their own food for generations. Meals were never brought to our table without detailed explanations by the wait staff of the ingredients involved, how dishes were prepared and the history / cultural significance of each, etc. Eating wasn't just enjoying good food, but rather more of an experience! We went to places off the beaten path that only locals know about, and they were so small that they could never accommodate the obnoxiously large tour groups. While it was so cool to spend 3 days in the middle of Rome so that we could easily walk outside our hotel and get a caf', gelato, or panini without going far at all, it was so much more peaceful during our 4 days spent in Sorrento at a truly luxurious hotel, The Ludovisi Palace. Our room and bathroom were gigantic and posh, and the view of the ocean and Mt. Vesuvius were second to none! There are only 12 rooms so it was quiet and felt like we owned the place, and we were waited on at all times by the nicest people. We were fortunate to have fantastic drivers in both Rome and Sorrento. It was nice having the same driver all the time since they'd get to know things such as my motion sickness, and I could have kissed Gianluca for going so slowly around every twisty, windy road along the coast over the course of 4 days! The traffic was intimidating and terrifying, yet both drivers remained calm and stress-free, and their confidence eased our minds. The vans were comfortable, air conditioned, and even fully stocked with endless bottles of water. I saved the best part for last, which is the BEST TOUR GUIDE IMAGINABLE, Clarissa Mannino!! She was so warm and friendly that she instantly felt like family, and despite the fact that she was younger than anyone in our group, she truly mothered us in the best way possible. She let us know when to wear comfortable walking shoes, when to bring a light sweater or jacket, never neglected to mention special dietary restrictions at every restaurant, always alerted us to available bathrooms, offered to make frequent van stops for my motion sickness, etc. She spent a few minutes back in the hotel with us each night (over complimentary Prosecco, of course!) and told us what to expect the next day. We never had to get up very early, which we greatly appreciated, and we never felt rushed. She always made sure we had ample free time to explore areas on our own, and she made wonderful suggestions regarding scenic spots, ideal shopping, restaurant recommendations that covered a wide range of prices, and easy to follow walking directions. While we enjoyed the free time, it was just enough time (2 hours or so) so that we were ready to re-join the group and do the next structured activity, so it was a perfect balance. Clarissa taught us such interesting facets of the local culture, including the proper way to toast (which we all did before each meal), cute catch phrases, and even funny hand gestures. Long drives in the van were opportunities for her to teach us more. The main thing I appreciated about Clarissa, however, was her thoughtfulness. Every day found her delivering another small surprise, from gift shop treasures and pastries to surprise trips, and each was more delightful than the last! I won't go into detail to avoid spoiling any surprises for the next group. She even got emotional when it was time to say good-bye, but she asked that we all keep in touch through social media, and she continues to check in from time to time. We can't imagine another vacation without Nada's Italy, and we're willing to go to places that hadn't interested us in the past just so we can experience another trip of a lifetime! We're considering Sicily next, in the hopes that we can again partner with Clarissa. With regards to seeing other countries (Japan is high on our list), my husband and I keep saying we need to find a 'Nada's Italy equivalent tour group' for each country, but that seems to be easier said than done. I usually spend so much time organizing every single detail of our vacations to ensure we enjoy each minute, but Nada's went so far beyond anything I could have ever planned that we not only enjoyed every moment of it, but it was the most stress-free vacation since Nada's staff was always busy hashing out the details so I didn't have to!

Positano trip May 2019 ' Couples Just completed the most amazing 11 day trip with Nada's Italy to Positano and Amalfi coast. Awesome 12 person tour with personal service. Toyr guides Alessandro and Mikaela were the BEST!! Great hotels, awesome food and wine. Superior day trips. 100% recommended for couples or singles. Cant wait to travel with them again.

Our tour was delightful! It was well planned and executed. Our journey director, Clarissa, did an excellent job of guiding us with an attention to detail and personal interaction. We had not known our tour mates, but became friends quickly and enjoyed traveling together. We repeatedly said, we never could have planned the experiences that Nada's provided for us. This trip was absolutely a trip of a lifetime.! We did the Italian Treasures package (Rome, Florence, Venice). Nada's Italy had every detail taken care of to perfection. Nada's provided a perfect balance of time with a small tour group and personal time to explore on our own. Our tour group leader, Leonardo, was awesome and made us all feel like family together. He guided us through all the museums and history with so much knowledge but also took us to where the locals live and dine to give us the feel of how it is to live there. Definitely recommend Nada's and will be using them for our next trip back to Italy in the near future
This was our second memorable tour with Nada's. Like last year every day was fun and full of great sites, food and experiences. We really enjoyed the other guests on the tour especially Frank & Jane, Lori & Don, Bobby, Susan. Thank you Marco our tour guide. His experience, knowledge and professionalism made our vacation perfect. We hope to do this every year with Nada's, because Italy is our favorite country. All of these memories the big and the small are going to stay with us for the rest of our lives.
This was our (wife and mine) 2nd trip to Italy. The first one was in Sicily for a long weekend in Taormina. However, I have to say that Nada's is a first rate quality Italy Tour Guide service and I can't imagine anyone being disappointed with the quality of their service and itinerary. It really is that good! Our guides were Clarissa and Alessandro; and they were the absolute best we could have imagined to show us around. Extremely knowledgeable, friendly, funny as heck..... and they made our entire vacation in Italy that much better! I can't say enough about how "genuine" they were throughout the 10 days we spent there. They truly "like" their jobs and it shows! We had so many laughs with both of them, especially on the bus rides. To travel with several couples and have private tour guides for the entire time is a great way to see Italy! Everything was customized for us and both hotels were very very good! We had spectacular wine and farm tours ( i.e., one was learning how Mozzarella was really made and the other was learning about how some very nice red and white wines were made in the Italy mountains), we cooked pasta and pizza on one of the farms and even ate what we cooked. We had two great days in Rome seeing everything we wanted, and had two fantastic boat rides on the Amalfi Coast. We visited Pompei ruins, Greek temples, went to Capri by boat, and had many more tours to boot. The lunches and dinners were excellent and the "included" food with our package was at excellent restaurants. There was no skimping on the quality of food and restaurants included in the package. The service and seating was always top notch. Our group liked to eat and taste the wine, so we really looked forward to lunches and dinners! Long live Limoncello!! Can't say enough about this vacation! The Italian people we met were extremely warm and gracious, and we all loved Italy! Best vacation we ever had!
Having traveled twice with Nada's Italy, first on Sizzling Sicily tour two years ago, and most recently their Italian Treasures tour, I highly recommend Nada's Italy! Their tours are high quality; small group travel that includes excellent hotels, restaurants, local tours and outstanding tour leaders, guides and drivers. The itinerary encompasses famous places, along with quaint, not as famous areas, all of which are picturesque and fascinating. The tour leaders on both trips were incredibly knowledgeable; they shared this knowledge with fine communication and organization at all times, while displaying concern for travelers' comfort and enjoyment. The entire team, from the initial reservation email/phone call to the final day of travel, displayed professionalism and pride in their company. I am truly looking forward to my next tour with Nada's Italy!
I have been a regular traveller with Nada's Italy for 7 years. I am a single traveller and was hesitant to venture to Italy alone until I found Nada's Italy! I dreaded being herded onto a big tour bus!!! Their small, personal, friendly groups of just 12 are perfect whether you are single, a small group of friends or family or a couple. The tours are exceptional with excellent accomodations, fascinating itineraries, the best tour leaders in Italy, wonderful food and wine and comprehensive planning! You will see the sites you expect to see as well as some off the beaten path experiences you never imagined seeing. You will truly experience Italy....not just get paraded from site to site! Nada's Italy is the best and only way to see and experience Italy...or even Spain or France....so this fall I will be going on yet another of my many trips with them....the Northern Delights tour!
Nada's Italy Bydesign planned a perfect trip to Italy and France for my daughter and me. Our destinations in Italy included Rome, Florence, Venice, and Milan, then Lyon and Paris. Each of our guides (Stefania, Leo, Antonella, and Valerie) exceeded our expectations and provided wonderful tours. The location of each hotel allowed us to experience each city in a unique way. We had a memorable trip thanks to this team.
The By Design team at Nada's Italy provided our group of 4 with a beautiful and amazing trip through coastal Italy that included breathtaking boat rides and hikes along the Amalfi Coast and Cinque Terre. Other excursions included our own private guides in Pompeii (Margherita was terrific and even called the owner of a local restaurant to ensure that we had the best service!) and the Vatican (the magnificent Barbara Bruno!). Our private drivers were professional, very informative and always on time. I'm still amazed at the calm demeanor of every driver as they navigated the endless zigzagging of scooters and other drivers!! For me, the highlight of our trip was a cooking class at the home and farm of an Italian family. Their beautiful home overlooking Mt. Vesuvius and the Bay of Naples. The views were stunning, the family so gracious and generous. We even picked our own eggplant for our dinner! I will never forget this experience and how they treated us as family. Our trip to Rome, Sorrento/Amalfi Coast/Pompei, Florence, and Tuscany was a dream vacation! Nada's Italy planned a custom trip for our family and it was a totally awesome experience for us from beginning to end. Everything was accounted for - drivers, guides, even a few changes in-country and we had a seamless, stress-free vacation as a result. Nada's experience in providing enjoyable vacations was evident as every detail was accounted for. We also especially appreciated their guidance and recommendations as we planned our vacation, making suggestions along the way, but also listening to what our likes and preferences were. This is our second tour organized by Nada. We had a fabulous time in Sicily with great guides, places, food and excellent WINE! The support level we received was wonderful, our only trouble was that the trip was too short!

This was our second memorable tour with Nada's. Like last year every day was fun and full of great sites, food and experiences. We really enjoyed the other guests on the tour especially Frank & Jane, Lori & Don, Bobby, Susan. Thank you Marco our tour guide. His experience, knowledge and professionalism made our vacation perfect. We hope to do this every year with Nada's, because Italy is our favorite country. All of these memories the big and the small are going to stay with us for the rest of our lives.
This was our (wife and mine) 2nd trip to Italy. The first one was in Sicily for a long weekend in Taormina. However, I have to say that Nada's is a first rate quality Italy Tour Guide service and I can't imagine anyone being disappointed with the quality of their service and itinerary. It really is that good! Our guides were Clarissa and Alessandro; and they were the absolute best we could have imagined to show us around. Extremely knowledgeable, friendly, funny as heck..... and they made our entire vacation in Italy that much better! I can't say enough about how "genuine" they were throughout the 10 days we spent there. They truly "like" their jobs and it shows! We had so many laughs with both of them, especially on the bus rides. To travel with several couples and have private tour guides for the entire time is a great way to see Italy! Everything was customized for us and both hotels were very very good! We had spectacular wine and farm tours ( i.e., one was learning how Mozzarella was really made and the other was learning about how some very nice red and white wines were made in the Italy mountains), we cooked pasta and pizza on one of the farms and even ate what we cooked. We had two great days in Rome seeing everything we wanted, and had two fantastic boat rides on the Amalfi Coast. We visited Pompei ruins, Greek temples, went to Capri by boat, and had many more tours to boot. The lunches and dinners were excellent and the "included" food with our package was at excellent restaurants. There was no skimping on the quality of food and restaurants included in the package. The service and seating was always top notch. Our group liked to eat and taste the wine, so we really looked forward to lunches and dinners! Long live Limoncello!! Can't say enough about this vacation! The Italian people we met were extremely warm and gracious, and we all loved Italy! Best vacation we ever had!
The By Design team at Nada's Italy provided our group of 4 with a beautiful and amazing trip through coastal Italy that included breathtaking boat rides and hikes along the Amalfi Coast and Cinque Terre. Other excursions included our own private guides in Pompeii (Margherita was terrific and even called the owner of a local restaurant to ensure that we had the best service!) and the Vatican (the magnificent Barbara Bruno!). Our private drivers were professional, very informative and always on time. I'm still amazed at the calm demeanor of every driver as they navigated the endless zigzagging of scooters and other drivers!! For me, the highlight of our trip was a cooking class at the home and farm of an Italian family. Their beautiful home overlooking Mt. Vesuvius and the Bay of Naples. The views were stunning, the family so gracious and generous. We even picked our own eggplant for our dinner! I will never forget this experience and how they treated us as family. Many thanks to Martina, Simona, Betty and the entire By Design team and to Alessandro in Rome as our local contact (and for getting a lost I-pad back to us)!! Our trip to Rome, Sorrento/Amalfi Coast/Pompei, Florence, and Tuscany was a dream vacation! Nada's Italy planned a custom trip for our family and it was a totally awesome experience for us from beginning to end. Everything was accounted for - drivers, guides, even a few changes in-country and we had a seamless, stress-free vacation as a result. Nada's experience in providing enjoyable vacations was evident as every detail was accounted for. We also especially appreciated their guidance and recommendations as we planned our vacation, making suggestions along the way, but also listening to what our likes and preferences were. Our Italian Treasures trip greatly exceeded our expectations!! Nada's put together the perfect itinerary with wonderful sights and stops and incredible meals. Our tour guide Alessandro was the REAL Italian Treasure. He took care of every detail and was so knowledgeable, informative, kind and so personable. Our group of 8 people bonded so well and we made friendships and memories of a lifetime. There were magical surprises (like an incredible Florentine dinner in a castle on a hill in Tuscany or champagne in Venice to celebrate anniversaries)... we cannot begin to describe how wonderful our trip was. From accommodations to meals to walking tour guides to the perfect blend of time as a group to time alone, we loved everything about our Nada's experience. ????????????????5 stars

After several experiences with large group tours, I decided to try something different and learned about the travel options offered by Nada's Italy. I opted to take the Italian Treasures tour in May of 2017, and it was, hands-down, the trip of a lifetime! From initial email correspondence with the office, through the tour, I found every detail to be perfect, and the customer service far exceeded my expectation. Our tour leader was Clarissa, and she gave our group valuable information and insight into her country. Clarissa always had a smile on her face and made each member of the group feel very special. Clearly, this was not just a job for her, but a true passion, and I also feel that everyone at Nada's Italy feels the same way. I cannot say enough positive things about my experience with Nada's!!

We just came back from a Nada tour of Tuscany. It was fabulous! our guide Clarissa was fantastic! She was funny, warm and very knowledgeable. She accommodated my husband's walking limitations without making him feel uncomfortable. . The Mercedes vans and drivers were also great. It was obvious Clarissa was loved everywhere we went. We were able to do things and see things we would never have done on our own. Accommodations were great. Food was also fantastic! I look forward to another trip with Nada. 5 stars

I cannot say enough great things about Nada's Italy and the Italian Treasures tour package. The small intimate group setting is perfect and the VIP treatment provided is above and beyond expectation. We really felt at home very quickly in a country that we had never been too before and our tour leader, Marco, was just about the best tour leader we have ever had. The itinerary is jam packed full of history, beautiful scenery, and culture that you instantly fall in love with Italy. There is the perfect mixture of tour time and free time that we never felt hurried or rushed. Nada provided superb meals that really immerse you into the regional cultures of Italy. I can honestly say we will never view Italian food the same again as the meals in America just do not compare to the splendor of Italian cuisine. Really, I cannot say enough good things about Nada's Italy and this tour. We are anxious to be able to return in the near future for another tour.
My husband and I went on the Seacret Escape tour with Nada. We have been to Italy many times on our own (we often visit family in the Molise region), but never saw this magnificent country like we did with Nada and her team. We experienced smaller Tuscan villages far away from large tourist groups, had intimate dining experiences with trattoria owners that were personal friends of Nada's and stayed at a small B&B where we were the only guests and were treated like family. Cooking glasses, wine tours, a visit to a seaside spa'wonderfully memorable experiences with a terrific group of people whom we still stay in touch with! Our drivers were top notch, delivering us to our destinations door-to-door in luxury vehicles' a nice touch with a small group (This could never happen on bus tours that must drop their passengers far away from the center of many small towns that can't accommodate the bigger buses.) Every person associated with Nada's Italy provided us with exceptional customer service, from the office staff to her tour guides and drivers. Nada also arranged for private tours for those in our group who wanted to see more of Rome when our tour ended. I can't say enough good things about Nada and her wonderful team. I highly recommend them to anyone thinking about visiting Italy, whether it is your first visit or your twenty-first!

This is the only way I want to travel to Europe! I went on Nada's Italian Treasures Tour in 2015 and discovered Rome, Florence, the Tuscan countryside and Venice, with local guides who took care of our small 12-person group in a way that larger groups cannot do! Everything about Nada's small group tours is wonderful, the guides, drivers, tour directors, boutique hotels and restaurants, all of it.....perfezione!
I have been on 4 tours with Nada's Small Group Tours with different guides & drivers on each one & I had the most marvellous time with very caring people . There were four of us from Australia & we couldn't say enough for this company - after the first tour we just kept going. We went on the Jewels of the Almafi Coast in 2015 and it was by far the best vacation we had ever went on. The customer service that each and every person associated with Nadia's group bar far and above any customer service we have experienced. From organizing the tour to booking us extra days beyond the design tour package in another city to the actual tour guides; everyone was pleasant and very responsive. Not to mention the planning to of unique places to visit and eat. Each place we went were hand picked and was just fabulous. Each day we were like today can't be as good as the previous day but each day got exponentially better. Highly recommended any of their tours!!!
Nada makes you feel like you are loved and very, very special on her tours. The tour guides never appear to be "working" as they love their time and energy shared with you. There is no better way to immerse yourself in the Italian culture.

I took a tour to the Tuscany region. The quality of service with such a small group is unbelievable. The fattoria(really a villa) where we stayed as well as the hotel in Florence, the wine tastings, cooking classes, wonderful tours, small, tucked away towns... I could go on and on... the driver, Nada, Tuscany wonderful, wonderful
Had so much fun on this tour. I'd never done a guided tour before and was a little reluctant but boy was it worth it! Saw and did so many things I'd never have thought of on my own. Well organized, well run, fantastic time had! Would do again!

I am a single traveller and was hesitant several years ago to go to Italy alone. On a friend's recommendation, I took my first trip with Nada's Italy. It was the best choice I could have ever made!! Since that first trip to Tuscany, I have done 5 more and hope to do another soon! Each trip was an incredible experience!! Every aspect of the tours was first class...the superb tour leaders, excellent accommodations, incredible food, fascinating itineraries and comprehensive planning! And the small group size makes it like traveling with family. You cannot go wrong! I can't wait to go again!!!

Just completed our Jewels of the Amalfi Coast tour and absolutely loved it. The experience is more than the view, it's the attention to detail that makes a Nada Tour so special. Alessandro, our guide was very knowledgeable and attentive to our personal interests. The hotel was small, quaint, perfect. The restaurants chosen were amazing. There was more food and wine than we needed. Every day was different, everyday was perfect. This was our second Nada Tour and I have no doubt that there will be another in my future. Thank you Nada!
We had a wonderful experience with Nada's Italy! We did Italian Treasures in June 2016. Wow - Italy was breathtaking, the food was amazing, and there is so much culture to absorb. We maximized our time in Italy and made planning super easy by traveling with Nada's Italy. We LOVED our tour guide. She shared so much about the country, cued us in on the things not to miss, and helped us tailor our experience. And, we enjoyed traveling with the other 6 people in our group. My spouse and I 100% recommend Nada's Italy. In fact, we would love to take a future vacation with Nada's Italy - Amalfi Coast, anyone?! My wife and I recently returned from the Italian Treasurers tour (May 27 - June 6 2016). The tour far exceeded our expectations. Our tour director, Carissa Mannino made this tour unforgettable for us. The accommodations and the land travel arrangements were first class. The food and drink was exceptional and provide you with a taste of each region that we visited. The guides for each city were very knowledgeable and skillfully planned the tours so there was no waiting in long lines. This was our first visit to Italy but it will not be our last. We are already looking at other tours through Nada's Italy. 5 stars

This has to be the best tour we have taken in ALL of our travels!! Period!! In our group of 12 we became very good friends and Nada was absolutely the best tour host ever! She is a very caring person and an excellent host who has a knack for understanding the culture and helping tour participants to blend into that culture. The food was fantastic; our Tuscan tour was fantastic, and it was the perfect blend of learning, eating wonderful food, drinking killer wine, history, personal camaraderie, and learning about a different culture. We have taken many small group tours with many different groups from Road Scholar to Overseas Adventure Travel, and STILL Nada's small group Italy tours tops our list of memories, good times, and great personal interactions. We will definitely go on another tour with her. After our tour we have remained in contact with Nada, who is one of the finest people I have ever met. This is no favorable review for a friend. Tuscany tour with Nada was the best trip I've ever experienced.....until we did the Amalfi coast tour!!!! From the moment we exited the airport on arrival ever detail had been thought of and arranged for. Local transportation was comfortable, efficient, and with friendly/knowledgeable drivers who make the getting from here to there as much fun as any part of the trip. Our hotels has been carefully selected to give an authentic feel but with the comforts and amenities too. And the food!!!!! No words can describe fresh buffalo mozarella or the homemade pizza made by your host! The best part of all though is seeing the beauty of Italy through the eyes of Nada's handpicked guides--so refreshing to be with people so proud of their home and anxious to share instead of following like ducklings listening to a canned headset description that you could have just as easily found online! Saving up for the next one--maybe France this time! Thanks Nada--you make Charlotte proud to be your homebase!! 5 stars
