Friday | Day 1 | The Grandeur of Venice

Arrival, check into the hotel and get some rest in Venice, also known as La Serenissima. Group meets in lobby and Journey Director introduces themselves. Then you will enjoy your group dinner in a nearby restaurant with local Venetian specialties.

Saturday | Day 2 | Between History and Mystery

This morning we’ll meet a private local guide, who will take us on a unique walking tour of historic Venice, telling us about traditions, culture, and amusing facts of Venetian life through the ages, leading up to the world-famous St. Mark’s Square and Basilica. From here you can enjoy the rest of the afternoon wandering the intricate alleyways, picturesque bridges, and quiet canals of Venice. Dinner on your own.

Sunday | Day 3 | The Islands of Murano and Burano

This morning we are taking a trip to the Island community of Murano by private boat, with a visit to a traditional glass factory, where glass masters have been creating the most intricate designs for chandeliers, vases, and jewelry for over five centuries. You will have plenty of free time to explore and shop around. We continue to Burano, a colorful quaint fishing village that appears to be worlds away from bustling Venice. Burano is very known for exquisitely hand-embroidered linens. Burano is still a small community where time stands still, where life is still about family, friendship, and solidarity. It is truly one of the most amazing places you’ll ever visit. Enjoy your dinner and some more free time on your last night in Venice - make it a special one!

Monday | Day 4 | Bologna and Florence

 Check-out from the hotel and head up to Florence in a comfy Mercedes executive van. We'll take a pleasant detour to stop in the charming city of Bologna, an absolute gem, considered as Italy's food capital because of the unique culinary experience that visitors can expect. After a panoramic stroll through the town's picturesque piazzas, porticoes, and medieval streets. Arrival in Florence in the mid-afternoon. Check-in, relax, refresh, then enjoy a group dinner with delicious Tuscan specialties.

Tuesday | Day 5 | The Uffizi Gallery & the Renaissance

This morning we’ll enjoy a walking tour with our local City Guide with the unforgettable visit of the amazing Uffizi Gallery, the world's largest collection of Renaissance artworks by the famous masters (Ticket Reservation & Priority Entrance Included). The group will have much more time to spend in the museum and marvel at the beautiful artwork in an unrushed setting. Lunch featuring tastes of local specialties. Afternoon on your own in the gorgeous city of Florence. Enjoy a little time for R&R, shopping, exploring, and discovering the amazing sites this city has to offer.

Wednesday | Day 6 | Medieval Siena & San Gimignano

San Gimignano, our first stop, is an absolutely astonishing example of walled Medieval hilltop town, also known for its dry white wine, Vernaccia and irresistible hand-made crafts: hand-painted pottery, alabaster, olive wood items, leather goods, and so much more. Enjoy free time to explore and have lunch. Then we're off to stunning Siena, where we'll meet up with our local guide who will reveal an insider's perspective of the "Palio", the world's oldest and adrenaline-filled horse race, and introduce us to Senese life with a visit of its amazing Cathedral (tickets included). Enjoy people-watching and an "aperitivo" in one of Italy's most picturesque piazzas, the Piazza del Campo, before we go on to our group dinner near Siena.

Thursday | Day 7 | Cooking in a Castle & the David

Are you ready to have some fun and hands-on experience with the delicious Tuscan cuisine? Learn to make classic recipes and fresh pasta during a fun cooking class in a 13th-century castle nestled in the romantic hills of the wine country. A memorable experience within the walls of history in the Castle's beautiful kitchen. Take a private wine tour exploring the castle's ancient underground cellars and learn about Tuscany's high-quality extra virgin olive oil, which the estate also produces. In the afternoon, enjoy a tour of the Galleria dell’Accademia to see Michelangelo’s David up close and personal (private guide + museum tickets included with preferred access). Dinner is on your own tonight in Florence.

Friday | Day 8 | The Soul of Italy

After breakfast, we say “Ciao, ciao!” to Florence and make our way to Southern Italy. Along the way, we will stop in Orvieto, a beautiful hilltop town in Umbria, founded by the Etruscan civilization over two thousand years ago. You'll have free time to enjoy lunch on your own and to explore the village. We’ll continue on to sumptuous Rome, what the Romans called ‘Caput Mundi’.  Group meets in lobby together with your Journey Director and transfer to roof–top terrace for “Apericena” (drinks and light dinner). From there we partake in an exclusive & reserved entrance to the Vatican Museums & Sistine Chapel and guided tour with our Rome City Guide. We end our night with a transfer back to our hotel for a relaxing evening.

Saturday | Day 9 | The Spanish Steps & Pantheon

The day starts with an early morning visit to St. Peter’s Basilica accompanied by our Rome City Guide. Then we continue with a wonderful walking tour of Rome and its main piazzas: Pantheon, Spanish Steps and much more! The afternoon will be at leisure. In the evening we’ll meet in the lobby and walk to traditional Roman Pizzeria for dinner.

Sunday | Day 10 | The Colosseum & Ancient Rome

After breakfast, you’ll discover the splendors of the classic Roman Empire! Travel back in time, gazing at gorgeous sites during our walk with our expert local guide. We will then walk along the ancient pavement, which crosses the evocative ruins of the Roman Forum, the Curia, the Reggia. You will then be able to admire the Temple of Vesta, the Arch of Titus and the Arch of Constantine. The tour will continue with the visit to the massive structure of the Colosseum (museum tickets included with preferred access, no waiting in line). Enjoy a leisurely afternoon and dinner on your own. Savor each moment of living "la dolce vita"!

Monday | Day 11 | Arrivederci! Until we meet and eat again!

What's Not Included in Tour Package

Trip price does not include airfare and anything that is not specified to be included. Price does not include any personal related expenses or travel-related expenses outside of the scheduled itineraries. The food & wine that is included is what is presented during meals.

Before you sign up, please note the following:


>     The first day of this tour is Friday (you will need to book your flight from the USA on Thursday to get to Venice on Friday). The last day of this tour is Monday (arrival in the U.S. is the same day of departure on your way back). Some tours start and end in different cities, make sure to book your flights accordingly.  

>     Airfare is not included. Nada's Italy can assist with Business and First Class airfare. Please let us know if you need information about arrival and departure airport for this tour.

>     Reminders, hotel information, and arrival instructions will be sent only by email, please make sure we have your current email address.

>     Transfers to and from the airport are not included in the tour rate. Please contact us if you'd like to add transfers to your tour package.

>     You must be in good physical condition to sign-up for this trip! There will be a lot of walking uphill, downhill, walking over uneven pavement, and standing for extended periods of time. An average walking tour is about 2-3 hours without sitting.

>     Even though tips to staff and restaurants are included, it is suggested that you put aside approximately $100 (US) in combined gratuities for your driver & Tour Director for your trip (and any voluntary additional restaurant gratuities are at your discretion).

>     Nada's Italy strongly recommends that you purchase Travel Insurance for your trip. For suggestions on policies and a quote, please contact us.

>     You should know that air conditioning in Italy, as well as WIFI connection, are not always as reliable as they are in the United States.

>     The hotel staff assigns rooms to guests, some rooms may include stairs. A view is not guaranteed. As Nada's Italy works mainly with luxury historic inns and small upscale boutique hotels, rooms differ in size and layout. In general, Italian bedrooms and bathrooms are smaller compared to US standards. Each room has its own en-suite bathroom with shower and/or tub, hair-dryer, and basic toiletry set. Please contact us if you have specific requests/needs.

>     It is your responsibility to obtain the required documents to travel to Italy, please verify with your own country's travel laws and government agencies. Your passport should be valid for at least 6 months after your return date.

>     In the unlikely event your tour does not reach the minimum participation requirement of 6 travelers, we will work with you to choose another available tour or tour date. We will do our best to make the transition as smooth as possible.
