Scott is originally from Western Pennsylvania (Go Steelers!!), but has called Charlotte his home for 20+ years. Having spent time in the United States Army as a combat medic, the attention to detail that was instilled in him during that time has carried over into his 15 years of sales and managerial experience. Nada’s Italy is excited to have Scott as our Operations Manager, as he brings a lot of enthusiasm, positivity, and a spirit of collaboration to our team every work day. Scott oversees customer service procedures, while ensuring that both company values and quality standards are respected throughout the organization at all levels. Besides a lifelong passion for all things Italian, Scott enjoys cooking (especially Italian cuisine), singing “a capella” in a barbershop chorus, camping, and watching all types of sports.

Martina is a native Italian from Padova and has lived in the USA since the late 90’s. As a trained chemist, Martina worked in the Italian leather business for many years and then in academic research in Boston. Looking for a new lifestyle and experience, she relocated to Charlotte with her husband in 2011. In the Spring of 2013 Martina joined Nada’s team to develop Nada’s Italy ByDesign program to provide custom travel itineraries and trip packages for our clients. Martina enjoys “wearing multiple hats” and diving into diverse projects that keep her in tune with her passion for travel, design, and metaphysical sciences.

Simona was born and raised in Catania, Sicily. Few years after she graduated with a Master’s Degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures she moved to United States and jumped into the travel business right away and worked as a travel agent for almost 15 years. She loves to share the love for her country, its culture, the smells, and the food with all the travelers who enjoy exploring the world as much as she does. Simona is part of the ByDesign team and the World Travel Program at Nada’s Italy. On her days off, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her two children and dog.
Jesse grew up in Northeastern Maryland, and has spent much of his life traveling around the Eastern United States with his family. In 2014, while studying Italian in Orlando, this on-the-go lifestyle inspired him to sell his car, pack up his belongings and travel to Italy to tutor English to Italian children. After eight years of Italian Language studies, Jesse speaks the language fluently. He loves to share his passion for Italy and its language, culture, and way of life with everyone he meets. Jesse supports Martina, Simona, and Betty with Nada’s Italy ByDesign services, and lovingly creates a Welcome Box for every traveler on Nada’s Italy tours!.
Susan is from Michigan and has lived in Charlotte since 1997, when she, her husband Mike, and their three daughters relocated. She has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Nursing and worked as a nurse for many years. Susan is also an artist who loves to cook, travel, and create! She is passionate about her family and her Italian heritage. Her husband is also Italian and together they continue the traditions that were handed down to them. Of course, it primarily centers around food and sharing family time together. In 2008, Susan and her husband took a cooking class from Nada, a gift from their daughters. After this first interaction, Susan was “hooked on Nada’s Italy” and has followed her many adventures. She is an enthusiastic, positive, and happy person with a permanent smile on her face – we’re proud to have her on the Nada’s Team, as she helps our customers plan their perfect trip to Italy.

Besides being perfectly bilingual in Italian and English, Betty holds a degree in translation studies, including Spanish and Portuguese. Betty supports Martina with Nada's Italy ByDesign services. She is very detail oriented, sweet, and has a warm, accommodating personality. In her words: "I enjoy cycling in my spare time, especially through green ways, and spending time with my family, my dog and my soul mate."
